Most growers cultivate Indica-dominant hybrids because the plants grow shorter and faster (meaning, they make money faster). From the consumer’s point of view, Indicas tend to be calming and helpful at bedtime — think “in-da-couch.” In contrast, we cultivate Sativa-dominant hybrids. They do grow taller and take longer to come to maturity, but their properties are more clarifying and uplifting. For those of us who want to carry on with whatever we’re doing, Sativa hybrids can bring on the fun without bringing down the lights.
